Today, I worked to finish the practice project. First I finished priming all the parts that I had prepped before leaving for work. While those were drying I worked a bit on the kit empennage (more on that in another entry). After the parts were dryed I started riveting. Made some mistakes but again that's why the practice projects. After getting the ribs to the spar riveted, I then riveted the skins on and then completed by riveting the trailing edge and then bending, shaping, match drilling and pop-riveting the leading edge. Definitely could have been better but it was the first time. Hoping for better on the actual kit, if not, will be ordering new pieces and doing things over. Think I'll also get Ron (experienced RV builder) over to help when I am ready for my first rivets on the kit.
