As you might have noticed, I took yesterday off. I was waiting all day for the UPS truck (what Can Brown do for you), but they didn't come until about 1730. Anyway I did finally get the piano hinge and the new Wedgeloc clecos late yesterday and I got started early this morning. First I checked the clecos and the new ones worked - thank goodness. But before starting on the internal ribs on the left fuel tank, I had to fix the trap door (which I needed the piano hinge for) on the second rib outboard for the flop tube modification. Photo #1 shows the result and I built both the left and the right one. Then I mixed some sealer and sealed the tooling holes in both the left and the right outboard ribs using a small plate and riveted it on (as seen in photo #2 - I covered the whole thing on both sides - just want to ensure no leaks (I hope!). Then I applied some sealer on the parts for the capacitance fuel level system as seen in photo #3, Next up was to backrivet the fuel cap flange - see next entry.
