Photo #1 shows the elevator horn held in position. The kit plans call for making a drill bushing to go thru the hinge bearing and then drilling the hole. Since I didn't have any scrap metal tubing laying around, I just marked the hole with the bolt and then drilled it out after the elevator was removed from the HS. Photo #2 shows the hole after drilling. I then remembered that I needed to enlarge the cutout in the flange of the HS rear spar to allow room for the left elevator control horn to swing thru. Photo #3 shows the initial cut complete before I smoothed it out. See next entry for the rest of the days work.
