Finished the Rudder today. Started by riveting all around the spar and ribs using the pneumatic squeezer. Used pop rivets for the last two rivets on the trailing edge ribs since it was too tight to fit the pneumatic squeezer or any bucking bar I have in there (and the plans give you that option as well). Also used pop rivets for the four rivets thru the skin and the lower rib where the rudder horn is attached (again per an option on the plans) - just made it a lot easier and I didn't end up screwing anything up. Finally, I took on the challenge of bending the leading edge to form a curve and then get the blind rivets in that. It came out pretty good. See next entry for more pics of todays effort.
