Brief Description: Positioned the forward Spar in left HS
After getting the Vertical Stab parts hanging up to dry after prepping for primer, I moved back to the Horizontal Stablizer. The plans call for cleco'ing in place the forward spar on the left HS after the center forward rib is riveted on top and bottom. Was comforting to see how well the forward spar lined up in the left HS with all the holes perfectly aligned. After getting all the clecos back in it was time to blind rivet the aft center rib to the forward spar and the forward center rib. Sure am glad I made those clothespin stands, makes it a lot easier to work on the HS. Fortunately, my daughters boyfriend Billy was around and was able to help me get the blind rivets lined up in place (reaching in those tight spaces is tough with my big hands). We eventually got all three blind rivets lined up and popped in place. Time to take my wife to dinner.
