Brief Description: Assembled the Front Spar and Horizontal Stab
Worked today around the missing Reinforcement Angle and Splice Angle. Just worked ahead. Prepared all the HS Ribs with some minor fluting to get the webs flat. Then measured and drilled the attachment holes in the inboard most ribs. Assembled the front and rear spar together with the ribs and then cleco'd on the skins. I enlarged the Center Ribs to Rear Spar attachment holes to #19. Aligned, marked, fluted and drilled the inboard ribs to the spar and the skins. and then match drilled the skins to the remaining portion of the forward spar. Still have to match drill the inboard nose ribs on both sides, but cannot do that until I get the two missing reinforcing angles which connect the two halves of the forward spar and get them match drilled and cleco'd on. Once that is done, the whole thing below comes back apart so I can debur and prep the parts for priming, prime them then start reassembly for riveting. Still progress today and that is what it is all about.
