Brief Description:  Horizontal Stabilizer Rear Spar Assembly

Well today I got started for real on building an airplane. I picked up where I left off yesterday, working the spar stiffeners. After I finished prepping those, I cleco'd the two spar halves to the spar stiffeners and then final drilled to #30 all the holes. I then enlarged four of the holes to #19 for attaching two of the ribs later in construction. All the elevator hinge brackets were then cleco'd and final drilled to #30 and the center bracket and bearing assembly was drilled and riveted. At this point, the plan calls for prepping all the parts for primer and moving on the forward spar, however, two of the three parts that I identified as "wrong" part numbers are for the forward horizontal stabilizer spar so I couldn't start that yet. So I decided to go ahead and prime the rear spar then assemble and rivet it together. After I got the parts alumaprep'd and alodine'd and then primed and dry, assembly started smoothly enough, I was using my pneumatic squeezer for the first time and it was going well. Then (and I still don't know what I did - and I'm pretty sure it was me), all of a sudden the squeezer would not squeeze the rivets all the way and I started messing them all up. I started getting aggravated, so I took the squeezer apart thinking there was something wrong with it. Think I did that twice before I finally quit for the day.
