Brief Description: removed old spar angle and installed new update an
I started the wing update today after not doing anything very productive on this product for almost a year. I stop building on the left wing when I heard there was some modification updates to the ch601xl and I waiting for my update kit to arrive. I must say it took the wind out of my sail when I found out that I would have to drill all the rivets out of the top skin of my newly completed right wing and do updating. Removing the solid rivets was not going to be easy with out the proper tools . I ordered tools for removing rivets, plus a newmatic solid revit gun and kit. I ordered center drill rivet remover,centre punches, center punch for newmatic revit gun. I remove the front spar from the left wing assembly. the top sheet was only clecoed. I removed the solid rivets from the front spar and remove the angle cutting the angle were required first before removing rivets. Installed the new heavy angle and solid riveted the spar. completed the spar and is ready to reinstall on left wing ribs.
