Brief Description:  Final Setup & Rigging

Got a ton of little finishing details done. Picked up the rest of the painted parts. Absolutely beautiful! Red-taped brake handle, Silicone sealed wings (nicer seal and better looking than rubber root seal) with masking, attached data plate and registration sticker. Plugged in all wing electrical connections, all lights still working perfect. Put "experimental" label on, notched flap dents for brake and flap handle (so they don't jump). Did full control attachments to control stick mounts by clamping ailerons flush to flaps, and then mounting pushrods to control mount - everythings neutral and level and flush that way. Clamped & drilled control sticks to control horns. No play whatsover for left-to-right, much better improvement. Clamped firesleeve around gas lines on forward side of firewall and re-did better oil-cooler silicone baffle seals. Elisha helped put on wheel pants and fairings. Got tail & fuselage & wing fairings put on. Installed and properly torqued the propellor and spinner. Weighted plane with digital scale at 3 points. Re-Installed canopy (now that piano hinges are painted). Tested radio - sounded excellent and noiseless. STARTED ENIGINE AND DID A SMALL TAXI TEST with Elisha around the tarmack!!! Sweet!!! All instruments running fine, brakes are strong against high run-up, rudder pedal control is effortless. Wow - what a weekend. Now to bang out a pile of forms and stuff for airworthiness inspection.
