Brief Description:  Aerocarb re-fit and Engine Test!

Took a long time refitting the aerocarb so the fuel inlet was below the intake manifold, and Centered so fuel distribution would be guaranteed centered. (Previous install didn't seem perfect...). Installed new throttle and mixture lines and they move a lot smoother, and have better freer travel. After double checking everything, we brought the plane outside for the first engine start. turned engine over a few times with the starter without gas, and the oil pressure came up. With oil pressure up, turned fuel shutoff "On", pushed mixture rich, and turned the key. Engine started in 3 turns with 36-F cold weather. Ran absolutely beautiful, and was surprisingly QUIET! Softer and quieter than my rider mower. MAJOR MILESTONE - engine ran beautifully. All this was ruined by hangar-rash, that is Tree-Rash, of right elevator hitting tree and bending the control surface rolling out of barn door too fast down 6" high wood ramp. Darn! Painters/body guys will make like new & smooth and it will be forgotten.
