Brief Description:  Sealing the trailing edge

I needed to create a straight bar to clamp to the trailing edge while the sealant cures. Originally I thought I could use the same angle I created for the elevators, but it wasn't nearly long enough to cover the entire TE of the flap. Also, the hole pattern is different because of the TE being in two pieces. It still has the same hole-to-hole distance for the most part, but on the end with the short part of the TE wedge the pattern changes.

I got an 8 ft. piece of 1 x 1 x 1/8 from HD and used one of the RH flap skins as a match drilling pattern to keep the TE straight. The sealant was applied to the TE with a roller and everything was clamped up. I set up a heavy steel rectangular tube on the bottom skin as a weight while the sealant cures. It'll take about 72 hours for it to fully cure.
