Tonight was spent trying to rivet together the front spar and ribs. I had completed this a few weeks ago but messed up the parts trying to fix something that didn't need fixing. This time I used my pneumatic squeezer since I was alone.
The tip rib went on with no problems, but not so for the VS-707 rib. Somehow I managed to clench one rivet badly and crack another. I'm pretty sure is was caused by not holding the set perpendicular to the rivet.
Typical. One step forward and two steps back. It's like I'm cursed. Time to back away, regroup and wait for the weekend.
