Brief Description:  Building EAA workbenches Part II

Finally got some time to work on the second EAA workbench. I actually started on it the day after my friends Jay and Silent Rob helped me build the first one (Labor Day), but to my surprise the construction guys showed up to finish the painting and putting up the overhead racks. I had to clear out of the way so they could finish the job. At least the heavy garage construction work is complete, so I can concentrate on all the little jobs I have to do to get ready for the empennage kit.

The lumber was already cut, so it was just a matter of drilling holes, gluing and screwing. I'm not used to this type of physical activity because I sit at a desk all day for work. I was exhausted and sore by the time the sun disappeared on Saturday, but I felt like I'd actually accomplished something. I finished it on Sunday.

Next on the list I need to put in another electrical outlet that's located closer to my big workbench. I think I'll try to install it myself instead of calling an electrician. It'll be an external run along the wall from an existing outlet using metal conduit and a four plug metal box (gang box?). I determined the existing outlet is 20A.
