Brief Description: Right Hand Door PLUS Navs and strobes
Today I repeated the steps from Saturday on the right hand door. It took a little less time however, just as many clecos and staps. It seems to work ok, Once they are trimmed it will look great.
Paul also bought over the LED Navigational Lights with Stobes that he has been working on. Let me just say WOW!!
They light up the sky even in daylight hours. Can't quite see it in the cloudless daytime sun, but these are great. You get dots if you look at them. :-0
Paul is looking into creating these with a white mask so that they can be used on a plain white aircraft and if wanted (which is what I am doing) having some mirrored perspex added to the front to help the bounce.
He has also added a stobing circuit and we left them on all day to see how the heat went, and basically they are warm to touch, but thats it.
He is looking at putting sets together and selling them. Assembled and unassembled. Probably something around the $450 assembled for both sides for an RV-10, and $300 for the kit. Depending on demand, he could modify the design to fit other RV's as required. Just need a new board made up.
