Tonight I swapped out the on-off pinky switch from the grips and replaced them with the Momentary on-off switches I purchased ready for this occasion.
The pinky switch is going to be the Autopilot disengage. I have done some serious thought about inclusion of this switch and the reason I have added it is due to the following reasons:
1. The pinky switch is hard to get to and activate 2. The system has an active warning when the autopilot is deactivated.
As such I am happy with the allocation of the switch control.
NOW, I could not have done this without some expert machining by Don Reinoga and his awsome lathe....I needed a trimmed down 5/16" x 1/4" long drive socket. It needed at most a 0.4" diameter for a depth of > 0.4".
Just look at the quality of that fitting..... beautiful. Thanks Don.
PS.... The grips were fitted and tested.........Of course they just worked a treat. :-)
