Brief Description:  Match drilling and dimpling

I have assembled drilled, unassembled deburred, assembled, drilled, unassembled, deburred, covered the dimpling table with carpet, dimpled AND.........whalla!!!!

I have a completly dimpled VS skin and all of the ribs ready for the final assembly. I still need to countersink and debur the VS rear spar, however, apart from that, the VS is virtually ready for priming.

I am awaiting some info from the VansAirforce Forum as the countersinking is on a thin piece of metal and I need to understanding the process.

As to the dimpling, the DRDT-2 dimpler is AMAZING!!!!

It is very easy to use and the dimples are coming out beautifully and conssitently. It is really easy... what can I say. Its good, I recommend it whole-heartedly.

Now if I can just understand what the paint is that I need to get.....mmmmm.

Currently I am investigating a very good prospect that uses PreKote and then a 2-pack epoxy primer. Both non-chromium and according to US Military and non-military testing, performs as well as its Chromium based counterparts.

I will keep you all informed of the paint progress as I am sure all out there are interested. :-)
