Brief Description:  Demister Fan Installation, working seats for insid

Today we had a decent discussion on the demisting of the RV-10. Paul, Dad and I had a robust discussion relating to the different types of fans, the air volume throughput, placement and other...

In the end the decision came down to a few simple things.

1. Placement for demisting the window would be mainly as a result of the available space due instruments layout.
2. Based on that fan size selected would be one that produced the max thorughput air volume as noise does not matter in a cockpit.
3. A direction venting plate could be manufactured to fit on the fan if there was a need to redirect air from the fan location to different parts of the window.

Once all agreed, I ripped my home computer apart for a 90mm fan, and we cut and test fit the fan. All looks great. Tested this fan in situ.... not a good fan, however, volume of air was adequate.

End conclusion, demister with instrument heat should work a treat IF i ever need to use it.

Also Dad put together some internal bench seats for working in the aircraft to make life easier when we need to start transferring time into bringing all the wire together.
