Well today I sent my payment across to Jeff Schans at Lycoming for a new Lycoming Thunderbolt YIO-540. The dollar was in a good position at 1.029 and engine pricing just seems to be going up and up..... So better get in now before it drops...
I decided on the following configuration:

Jeff has been FANTASTIC.... He really helped put me at ease with the selection as the balancing, porting and flow matching was very important to my selection. He took my calls after hours (I am in Australia) to help. I really appreciated it as this is a BIG purchase.
I delayed delivery for a few months as I don't need it urgently, and the delay will help manage the warrantee for he build process.
Because I have included the Airflow Performance Fuel Injection system with a purge valve it required additional plumbing back to a fuel tank. I have chosen to attach the lines at the point just before it enters the Fuel valve using a T-piece. I think this will be very straight forward and keep all of the tunnel clear and simple.
