Parts are now painted. This took a little amount of time to both prepare and then complete the painting.
Peter Clark helped me out with all of the preparation and some of the painting to get a handle on the process we are using. I tried to pass on what I had learnt from Ian Irvine to Peter as part of this process, however, nothing is a substitute for the real deal......
I had some problems with trying to get the painting the same as last time and had some good leaning time. I basically sprayed to thick and had some 'blotchyness'. Not a real problem, however, a little ugly. Unfortunately due to the rapid progress I forgot to take some shots of the cleaning and parts preparation.
I then started on the assembly of the parts.
During this period we had some visitors from Matsuzaka, Japan for an Aikido conference presenting Sensei Yoshitake Hashimoto. Our family had the honor of accomodating Morishta and Harumi (students of Sensei yoshi). They were fantastic guests and we enjoyed every moment with them. Thankyou Morishta and Harumi.
Both Morishta and Harumi helped out with some riveting of the HS and enjoyed being part of this process.
