Brief Description:  Finished drilling out elevator, worked on leveling

A lot of work got done on the tail today. First we started to fit the horizontal stab in place and discovered using the digital level that there was a little bit of twist in it that prevented us from being completely within the tolerances for the angle of attack. I left it undrilled and later contacted Zenith to ask about it and they said that the small amount we were out of the tolerance was nothing to worry about.

We also finished assembling the elevator parts and drilling what needed to be drilled. We took it all apart and painted the joining surfaces with Zn-Cr and then reassembled. We ran out of time so we didn't finish the elevator but we got the riveting started around the control horn.

We also drilled the hole at the end of the hinge channel and safety wired to prevent the pin from sliding out. Too many pictures to cover everything in this one log entry.
