Brief Description: Transporting mostly completed fuselage and remande
|

Packed fuselage and remainder of kit 195 into a 26' U Haul for transport of some 1900 miles to Las Vegas, NV. Many hours of driving (TN, MS, AK, TX, OK, NM, AZ and finally NV) ahead - of course we had a bit of fun too. In Nashville, TN we attended a fantastic music festival of local musicians. In Shamrock TX we ate at Big Vern's - undoubtedly the best steak we have ever eaten. Stayed at the famous La Posada Hotel in Winslow, AZ which has been highly rated by Conde Nast Traveler and the Nat. Geo Traveler. Their Turquoise Room Restaurant was an awesome "find" of SW Cuisine. Back on the road again we managed to stay ahead of the weather until we crossed the mountains in Flagstaff, AZ where it rained and snowed.
Checked the precious cargo daily to ensure there had not been any movement. The temporary wheels held fast and the cargo arrived safely in Las Vegas. (3rd picture)
Time here does not include 4 days of driving..Haha.
