Finished fitting and drilling torque tube openings in skin. Drilled and bolted flap tube bearings. Fitted tube in and went to try the flaps for clearance etc. and ran into trouble. The flap actuator works when operated at the wiring directly into actuator but when all wired up and operated by switch it blows a fuse like a direct short. It is O.K. until I use the switch, either up or down. Rechecked all wiring and switches all check normal. Checked the wiring run and no chafing or vivsible short. Changed the switch, still no good. I gave up for today, it's got to be a dead short to blow a fuse that fast. Ward Smith came over this afternoon and did an eye-ball on the fuselage. Came up with some good suggestions on wiring. (Didn't check the flap wiring).
