Brief Description:  Smoke System Install 6

1 inch .063 angle is attached to flap housing upright brace to allow 4 1/2" spread across the back to mount the pump. Bolt spacing on existing pump mounting bracket is 3 1/2". The side nearest the tank is a little cramped to manipulate bolts, washers and nuts, so that side brace got 10/32 nut plates. Also added an 8/32 grounding nut plate for the pump motor. Pilot side is easy access so I just use the provided 10/32 bolts and AN3 washers/nuts. I added an 063 doubler spanning across both sides so when its bolted down, the plate stiffens everything very nicely. Its probably not needed, but I need it. :):). I wanted the hose connection to be at the bottom of the pump, but the in/out flow is designed opposite of that direction if you use the included pump mounting bracket. I had to disassemble the pump casing, add a locking notch to the opposite side of existing case notches, and put it back together. A 3 inch length of .025 safety wire held each spring loaded brush in place as they were being reinstalled. You put the case/cover back on, and when nearly closed. you pull the two safety wires out and the brushes move into proper position. Now the pump, as mounted, flows from the tank side out towards the pilot seat, all at the bottom of the pump.
