I finished shaping the template cutouts and after some measuring, taped the 4x9 template onto the outer fuselage skin on pilot's side. Match drilled the mounting holes then traced the cutouts and began removing them with my dremel and dremel small cutoff wheel. Worked very well. Drilled #40 holes on the short ends to ease removal of the scrap. Filed down the edges and rounded the corners. After about 5 or 6 fittings, the whole thing just started working perfectly. Scotchbrited the cutouts and all was well. Countersank the mounting angles and as soon as I find my dimple countersink die set I will dimple the skin. Put the parts in the pile for the next priming session.
