Following the VPX installation manual using a copy on my IPAD which I can annotate as I do the work. Neat. I see the need for a starter annunciator wire from the starter relay to the VPX. Ok. It requires a 1.2K resistor wired FWF. Found it, wired the 20awg end with a ring terminal to fit the starter relay, then backed up about 6 inches and clipped the wire in two. Soldered one end of the resistor to each end of the now cut wire, in like a Z pattern to allow the wire and resistor to parallel each other for strength. Triple shrink wrapped the splice. Using cable tie, I secured all the individual wires together to the larger wires going through the firewall fittings. Really looking organized and professional FWF. First time using my DMC crimper with insert K-13 and pressure dial set to 7 to crimp the 1st Dsub pin into VPX connector J2-pin 11 with 20awg wire. Works like a charm. I'm stoked.
