38 main spar bolts, 1 rear spar bolt, 1 fuel tank attach bolt equals 40 for each wing. The close tolerance bolts needed tapping in with the homemade drift pins. It nests inside the middle depression of the bolt head. A little silicon lube with repeated tapping pushed them through. Do not forget to add one washer under the bolt head. The nut end will take up to two additional washers. Most of the landing gear weldment bolts had to be inserted from aft side and I continued inserting all possible bolts from the aft side. I will always be able to easily see the torque sealed spar nuts. A couple had rib obstructions which required insertion from the forward side. A couple AN3 bolts on the upper side of the landing gear weldment were especially difficult to start. It was a matter of tipping a washer onto the bolt, then balancing the nut on the end of your finger while you blind tipped in onto the end of that bolt whilst you wrench turned the bolt head to engage. One or two took 30 minutes each. I fished many dropped nuts off the floor.. All ended well. I will save torquing until the right side is permanently inserted and then I'll do them all.
