I put a gallon of fuel in the repaired tank and set it up on end to let the fuel soak the newly sealed access covers overnight. Next day I verified no leaks on the covers and reinstalled the fuel tank. I did have a weep on the fuel drain fitting, but that had not been resealed. It had been tightened finger tight to facilitate the previous fuel calibration process where I had to drain 19 gallons into 5-gallon fuel cans. It was faster to just remove the fitting for draining and use my finger to plug the hole while I swapped the next empty fuel can into place. So, I put some tite seal medium on the threads and officially sealed it in place. The rest of the tank reinstalled easily, and I re-safety wired the forward tank attach connection. Next will be refill the tank enough to re- test the main fuel connection plumbing, then perform a leak test all the way to the cylinders from both tanks. Then I will finally perform the electric fuel pump flow test.
