Brief Description:  Wing tip install

Completed installing the landing/taxi lights. The bulb mounts were painted white, The foam cushions between the lens and the two lens attach backing strips would not hold onto the lens, even though there was adhesive on two sides. I guess they were too old. I had some slightly thicker double sided cushion which did the job. I also aligned the lights so at 10 feet in front, they focused at a height of 36 inches above ground. That should be good enough for starters, per the instructions. Tied off the wiring inside the right wingtip and put the tip on for the last time (ha ha). A test of the Nav/Position/Strobe, Taxi and Landing lights was successful. The hinged wingtip system is so slick to put on the tip, and twice as easy to remove.
The left side wingtip is much more complicated with 3 antennas (GPS and Archer VOR/ILS receivers, plus APRS Dipole transmitting antenna. The outer rib holds the taxi light power module, the APRS transmitter, APRS/GPS DB9 splitter, and Aileron trim DB9 connection, plus wire hold downs and airframe ground connection.
