Brief Description: Drill out rear spar W407B and Doubler 2
The rivet removal tool has adjustable depth for the spring loaded plunger which lets me go deep enough to remove the rivet head without damaging the hole. That way, when I match drill the new parts, the original sized holes can be exactly duplicated on the drill press. The tool has a serrated head that helps hold pull rivet factory heads from spinning when those need drilling out, and for my AN470s it nicely encircles the factory head to assure a center hole. On some, I wish I had a third hand to hold the flap brace up which would take pressure off centering the removal tool, but I got it done.
