Brief Description:  Tape and sand forward canopy

Back at it again. I waited for special 20mil PVC tape from Home Depot online. We don't stock this pipe insulating tape in Florida. The inside canopy forward edge was previously painted black one inch high across the front. That hides any fiberglass work. I taped the ultimate finish line with the PVC tape and added couple of layers above that for security (mental and physical). Used 50 grit abrasive and rough sanded the canopy outside forward edges as well as the aluminum deck for about 2 inches in frront of the canopy. There are three clips securing the forward edge of canopy to the deck. Probably could have got by with one but three is the number. Those were sanded as well to minimize the step up effect. All will be covered by fiberglass in the end. Next step is mix up epoxy with flox to peanut butter consistency and fill the gap in front of canopy so that the canopy plus fiberglass flows in a straight line to the canopy deck metal.
