I worked on finishing the repair to the small crack on the side of the canopy. Not satisfied but it looks as good as its going to be. So I installed the canopy into the frame with machine screws and cap nuts plus used the UHMW strips under the cap nuts as well. Riveted the side skins onto the canopy frame except at the rear edge on both sides. I need to fabricate a couple small UHMW spacers (about 1/2" wide between the side skin and the canopy bow at the very back. I want to make the rear inch of the side skins inflexible and to be absolutely flush with the rear canopy skin. Also, I cannot squeeze these last rivets because of the shape of the metalwork. I'm concerned about using rivet gun what with the cooler temps and the canopy vibrating. We'll see. It might be ok to do.
