The lower mounting bracked is obtuse (maybe 100 to 110 degrees) because of the geometry of the fuselage down there. The top bracket is 90 degrees. As you can see, the brackets hold the doubler plate out away from the rudder cable. The actual ELT is mounted above that cable, which I taped in normal operating position here. Its all good. I will run the 4-wire remote panel wiring into this unit and also attach the antenna. The antenna will mount behind the roll bar and be secured to it.
