Brief Description:  Trying Different Layouts in TurboCad

Needed to consider the subpanel middle rib to top fuselage skin. The center stack at 3/4 inch down from top of instrument panel will force cutting into and altering the middle rib in front of the sub panel. The SL40 tray is about 11.5 inches. I have 6 inches between panel and sub panel so we're looking at about 6 inches forward of the subpanel for that tray, right where rib rivets to sub panel. If I located GTN 750 on top of center stack, the big screen only penetrates a couple inches and the tray itself would penetrate the subpanel about 3 inches below the top of the subpanel. That works.
The last issue to decide on is if I want to try the PMA 5000 audio panel on top of the stack. It is 6.04 inches and it actually slopes downward at the point where it penetrates the sub panel. That may actually clear that middle rib too. It will be close. More to check out. Seems like the SL40 cannot sit on top of the center stack without a lot of work to the rib, or dropping the whole stack and moving switches..

This seems possible and keeps switches under the center stack too.

This is possible if I move the PMA5000 under the co pilot EFIS.

This could work by moving the center switches around.
