These aileron gap seals rivet to the top wing skin with AN426AD3-3 and to the rear spar with AN470AD4-4. The plans call for LP4-3 into the rear spar but my guess is that was due to Vans order of build where you would have riveted the skins on first. I left the outboard bottom skins to rivet on last after studying many other build sites. There is no single correct order to attach the skins. With the ability to use the squeezer on the rear spar I chose the AN470 rivets. After I did the 1st gap seal I put the aileron on to see if by chance those rivet heads would interfere with the motion. No interference and as a matter of fact there's plenty of clearance. 1/4 inch gap is called for between the aileron and the gap seal. I had that ok. I did the top wing skin rivets 1st and used my little titanium bucking bar. What a joy. You just slide is along inside and push it with your fingers while you set the rivets with the gun. Simple simple simple. All done. Next, I will enlarge the left wing electrical conduit to accept the larger black conduit instead of the original milk white 1/2 inch conduit tubing. Then, rivet on the flap brace, then the bottom outboard wing skins.
