Fitted the 2nd flap onto the right wing. Same as left wing situation. The flap should have been 10 1/2 inches from trailing edge forward to the front of the flap spar in a line along the tooling holes. Mine were 3/16 longer. So, all said and done, the flap is again just shy of 1/8 inch longer trailing edge than the aileron. But, both wings/flaps are exactly the same and I will again determine if I want to shim the aileron 1/8 inch underneath each aileron mounting bracket to push it back 1/8 or not. In any case, I ordered the parts to make two more flaps. $300 and a big learning excercize about reading and using all plan measurements. Funny thing is the flap looks to be actual size on the plans and it shows a correct dimension of 10 1/2 inches but when I put the measuring square on it, the actual measurement was 10 5/8. What's with that??? I will stick to using stated measurements, and not actually measure something on the plan.
Also on the left wing I drilled 1/8 and #19 for 14 nut plate holes to attach the inspection cover to the lower wing skin. Finished mounting all nut plates, dimpled cover, wing skin and used K1100-08 nut plates. That's one more job out of the way.
Right Wing Flap drilled to skin finally.
Set the gap to 1/4 inch before drilling.
14 nutplates holding left wing inspection cover installed now.
