Brief Description:  Wire Conduit change

While the right wing is open, I looked at the 1/2 inch conduit openings I previously drilled in each rib for Vans original 1/2 inch outside diameter smooth plastic conduit. The left wing has that size opening and its all riveted closed except the bottom outboard skin. With the RG400 for the Archer wingtip nav antenna, the auto pilot servo, the aileron electric trim servo, the duckworks landing light, the nav lights and strobe lights slated for the right wing, I figured I'd go for the corrugated Vans conduit. It has ribs at .810 inch outer dimension for the rings and .75 inch inner dimension for the corrugated rings, I pushed each 1/2 inch hole away from the rib flange as I enlarged them with my 3/4 inch unibit and it came out very nice. Now, I just have to figure how to pull that darn corrugated conduit through 14 holes. It skinnies down when you stretch it by pulling, but that's a lot of holes to get it all through and it makes a lot of noise going through eadh hole. When I'm done, I will put some proseal or RTV in the groove of each corrugation where it straddles each of the 14 holes as a sealer and a cushion against vibration damage which might cut the corrugated conduit as it sits on each rib hole.

You have to pull on this stuff to stretch and shrink the diameter momentarily. Returns to normal.
