Brief Description:  Fuel Tank

I have done a lot of research and questioning of other builders about the plastic fuel tank supplied by PA. I have determined that an aluminum tank is the way to go, especially since the fuel tank is so embeded into the hull that it takes a major effort to change it out later. For the most part, SeaRey builders and owners are not happy with the plastic. Seems they stretch, sag, leak, and admit a gasoline smell. I want to avoid that too. I thought of ways I could support it, but in the end I went with the conservative and more expensive path.
The fuel tank holds aboutthree galloons less and cost about $1200, but it is worth it to me to avoid the problems later. PA needs to get on this. It's another lawyer thing. How they are killing General Aviation and now seeping into the experimental world.
