Brief Description:  Installed gascolator, fuel filter and fuel pump to

The day was productive with making brackets out of 7050 aluminum. The stuff will not bend small radius so I cut and welded the aluminum. The gascolator has supporting arms that the fittings go through to help with support when the bowl needs to come off for cleaning the screen. Most builders don’t install a gascolator on their Velocity aircraft but I will have one to make sure no water gets to the injectors, small price for insurance.

The filter bracket was next and this is a cleanable fuel filter.

The fuel pump was next. I marked out the mounting holes for the pump and got to work on installing the anchor nuts to hold onto the fire wall. All the items are held in place with anchor nuts, this way they can come off with out holding a wrench from the inside.

The fuel pump is a high pressure pump and I will be installing a regulator to bring the pressure down from 42 psi to 28 psi for the fuel injection system. This is only a boost and or standby pump to help if the mechanical pump was to fail. The boost pump will also prime the engine trough the injectors to start the engine so an electrical pump has to be installed.

Car racing parts on and aircraft will help get the fuel to the engine for me. Home built (experimental) is the only way to go.
