I found that having the seat ¾” back past the bolt on rail this gave me the most forward position that the seat can give me. I’m not that tall 5’7” so I must have the seat all the way ahead to work for me. Also the seat adjuster is not sticking way out there it also is ¾” out in front of the seat much like a car. I ruffed up a washer and nut and then sunk it to the bottom of the foam and fill in with milled fiber and structural resin. I then did a one bid lay-up to tie it all in. The seat can come off and back on with no problems this way.
