Brief Description:  Armrest done and fuselage side gets vinyl.

Cynthia gave me a hand sewing the vinyl for the arm rest. I did the first one by hand and it was totally wrong not knowing how to make a corner. Cynthia explained how to do it so we experimented on the length of the stitched area and 1.25” was the right length for the height of foam and backing board. I mounted the plastic hinges that I had purchased 4 years ago with rivets and 6-32 bolts.

The paper template was made and the vinyl was cut out. I had to vacuum the dust again and wipe down with alcohol before the contact cement was applied. I stared at the back with wetting out 4 “ to lock the vinyl in place, once set for 10 minutes I wet out another 12 “ and placed when tacky, then the rest was wet out and applied when ready. It was like using vinyl wrap and the material was manageable by not wetting out all at once. The top window area will be next and I didn’t do this all at once thinking it would be too much for me all at once.
