Brief Description: Modified exhaust manifold to fit plane.
I bolted up the exhaust to see how it would work. The pipes were from a Pits home built plane and they came with the engine so I figured that with some work I can modify to fit my plane and have the exhaust come out the back of the cowling. After 4 hours of cutting, grinding, fitting and then tig welding they will work just fine. The Pilot side sits 1 inch lower then the Co-pilot side but for the price I can’t go wrong. The cowling will have to be cut for the pipes and a round section made to go around the pipes. I will be leaving the pipes just short of the round section to create a siphon effect to pull the heated air out of the engine cowling.
