Brief Description:  2 bid lay up on upper strake

This is how I did this job.
• Cut and remove foam to get to bottom glass.
• Air ground the glass to remove foam residue.
• Rounded any sharp corners for the glass cloth to go around or over.
• Blew off the dust and wiped down wet with acetone.
• I mixed up micro balloons and covered the foam 45 degree edge.
• I spread the micro balloons over the ground off glass area and then removed excess just leaving the low areas between the glassed fiber with the micro balloons.
• Place the 8” bid (bye directional fiber glass cloth) on the micro balloons slurry and painted resin on area obove that and then pressed into place.
• Mixed up the resin and then used a tough depressor to move it back a forth to wet out all the cloth with the help of the heat gun.
• Stippled out all the air bubbles with a brush and added peel-ply

The next time I get any peel-ply it will be on a roll. I find that the folded area will not lie down as it should.

I find that doing a lay-up this way has no air bubbles under the bid cloth
