Brief Description:  2 bid in the cabon beams

WOW this was a big job doing the 2 bid on the carbon beams. The resin mix has to be just right for the stickiness to work on the over head lay-ups. The mix I use is 3 pumps from the resin dispenser (a must to have, It has saved me lots of money and time having this tool!!!) and 1 ½ “up the tong depressor of CAB-O-SIL. I mix really good getting rid of the lumps and then pour out onto the Bi-directional cloth. I have to use a heat gun to make the resin flow out and wet out the cloth completely. Pre paint the area then off to the plane I go to place. The lay-up is very sticky and the pre painting of the area is sticky too. It lays down over head very nice, just push into place and pull off the plastic and stipple into place with the brush. If you don’t use COB-O-SIL you have to wait for the resin to thicken up. I have had better lay-ups over head then on the flat??? I did‘t use Peel-ply on the lay-ups as I ran out of time and the area will be covered by upholstery.
