Brief Description:  Landing Gear Fitment #3

Spent alot of time today researching how I want to align my gear legs. There's the unpopular book method, and several other ideas that have been used. The most important thing is to have the outboard face of the gear legs (where the axles mount) parallel to each other and to the centerline of the airplane...

-Used the newly and now properly drilled holes in the U-804 brackets to match drill holes in their associated wear plates.
-Installed the gears using only the 7/16" hole in the inboard U-804 brackets and their wear plates. The outboard brackets and wear plates are only in place, They will move with the gear (pivoting on the inboard bolt) until I get it aligned and drilled.
-Attached the plumb lines and began to understand why people don't like this method.
-Spent quite awhile dorking with plumb lines and alignment measurements.
-Decided to take a break and think about it some more before drilling anything else...

So I went to the front seatback and messed with that for awhile...
