Began the day figuring out and re-arranging the shop to maximize efficiency in my small space. With it being winter, the van must be able to stay in the garage to make Mamma happy. Furge came over with a hammer drill and we managed to set the wing stands into the concrete with no problems. I was definitely nice having help during the process of figuring and moving the stands around a thousand times. I had to do some modifications and manufacture some more angle pieces to get the wings locked in the stand. The spar is quite a bit higher off the floor than what the plans call for, I have them at 50", which is a very comfortable height for my 6' frame. I still need to build some kind of center jack stand to put under the wing so I can take out the sag in the spar. I'm quite impressed with how solid the stand is. I stole the idea and plans off of Rudi Greyling's (RV-7, South Africa) outstanding website....thanks Rudi!!!
