Now that the canopy is resting on its frame, I taped the outside of the canopy along the top to the frame. Then, Dave and I removed the canopy and masked the inside of the canopy to prevent flox that is squeezed out in the next step to bond to the inside of the canopy. I added a generous bed of flox to the frame's top flange and then Dave and I carefully lowered the canopy onto the bed of flox. We strapped it down, used some shims to add a bit of pressure to the flox bed, and let it cure overnight.
