Well, it turns out that the elevator/horizontal stabalizer hinges were installed incorrectly. Because the hinges were fabricated in my airplane factory, they were each unique; very similar, but unique. When the hinges are assembled correctly so that the hinge line is above the HS, the hinge holes in the HS no longer line up. Not a big deal, just a quick repair. I filled the holes with flox and will redrill tomorrow when the flox has set.
