Decided to set the hinges in the elevator before drilling in the horizontal stabilizer. The flutter issue has been factory addressed by beefing up the TE of the HS. It is very stable. Because it is thicker, my clecos aren't long enough to get a good hold. So, each test fit has to be done with Home Depot #8 bolts and nuts.
We set the hinges in the elevator first because we can hold the elevators up to the HS and match drill by setting t he hinge on top even though the hige will be underneath.
Dave says those SS rivits are really tough to pull. We broke a Harbor Freight rivet gun. The next day I went back to HF and got a beefier gun. FYI, the SS rivets are still tough to pull.
