Brief Description: Remove ferous mounting plates and hardware
The ADAHARS has an internal magnamometer (electronic compass) that should not be installed near anything magnetic. I did not realize this when I build the avionic mounting plates out of metal and used iron screws to instlall everything, including the ADAHARS. So, I removed all metal below the baggage floor and replaced the plates with wooden blocks floxed to the floor and stainless steel hardware. Brass would have been a better choice than SS because some stainless steel is magnetic. I checked and these are not.
Removing the bases scarred me to death. I was afraid I would cut through the fuse floor and make a big hole.
