Brief Description:  Install backplates

So, the 2x4 on the test bed that simulates the buckhead behind the panel prevented me from sliding in the backplates with the connectors attached. I could think of two solutions. Remove the avionics rack, install the backplates, and reinstall the rack or remove the connectors, install the backplates, and then install the connectors. This seemed easier to me, so I took option 2.

I needed to make a relief cut in the 2x4, but finally got the 650 backplate attached. I magnetized my long screwdriver to install the tiny little scres that hold the connectors, but the screws kept falling off of the tip. I finally got them all installed after a few frantic floor searches for dropped screws. Did I mention they are really small?

This is getting exciting. All wires and pins have been tested. I need to install the antennas on the test bed before firing anything up, but I am getting close to doing so. It's goinng to be really cool to have power to the avionics.
